Team Livingston: Dano Ramos
Dano Ramos’s thoughtful and compassionate care for his patients deserves recognition. Dano is a full-time licensed vocational nurse in our Home Health team and one of a handful of our nursing staff who is bilingual in Spanish.
Dano came to us from Community Memorial Hospital and has cared for Livingston patients for the past 13 years. His patients are generally from the Oxnard community, but he frequently steps in to see another patient who is in need of an urgent visit that day — even if it is late in the day or at times out of his area. His consistency and flexibility has made many staff comment, “Need help, call Dano.”
“Easy going, always polite, dedicated and hard-working” are just a few of the descriptors used by his peers to describe Dano. With exceptional clinical skills and clinical judgement, Dano is one of the nursing team members who trains new staff for Livingston. He is the extra nursing hand that the RN Case Managers ask for by name to see their patients. He is frequently the nursing name that recurrent patients ask to have come to their home.
Dano is currently working toward his RN degree and is enrolled at Oxnard College. We look forward to working with Dano as an important part of our nursing team.
