Team Livingston: Eli Olson - 25 Years of Caring…
Director of Human Resources, Eli Olson has been a part of the Livingston team since 1984. A native of Norway, she moved to California in 1977, and then in 1984 moved to Ventura County to become a nurse’s aide for Livingston. She left shortly thereafter to pursue her education in nursing and received her LVN license in 1986. She returned in 1989 as our Clinical Office Coordinator in our Thousand Oaks office, helping to ensure that our patients clinical care needs were being met. In 2001, she moved into our Human Resources Department, obtained her certification in Professional Human Resources and became director in 2005.
“Eli is the ultimate employee advocate,” say Leah Hunter, Compliancy and Privacy Officer.
“She is a respected leader and valued for her sense of fairness in the workplace – always trying to do the right thing.” Her nursing background enables her to relate to and understand our nurses’ concerns and her vast knowledge of legal regulations ensures that Livingston is always up to date and in compliance.
But Eli doesn’t consider her position as Human Resources Director as just a job. She sees it as her mission to care for people. “It’s the caring culture that you find in this organization that makes the difference,” she says. “When I go home at the end of the day, I’m satisfied knowing I have done my part, along with the Livingston family, to make a difference in the lives of those for whom we care. That’s worthwhile.”
Thank you Eli, for your 25 years of caring. We hope you are around for another twenty-five.
