Team Livingston: Tom Pecht
Board Member Tom Pecht is many things: family man, farmer, business owner, traveler, scuba diver, USC Alum, community leader, philanthropist and friend. He brings life and world experience to Livingston, where his steadfast leadership helps Livingston make Ventura County a kinder and more caring place to live.
Tom joined the Livingston Board of Directors in 2006 and proved to be a quick study at the complexities of healthcare delivery, finances, and fundraising. A modest man, he’ll tell you that he’s still learning.
The Board quickly recognized Tom’s business and leadership skills and he now serves as the agency’s BOD Vice Chair and Treasurer.
Of his many contributions to the agency, his most visible may be his leadership of Livingston’s Development Committee, a committee that he was asked to lead shortly after its genesis in 2008. During his tenure as chair, Livingston has doubled its annual fund to over $1 million. Mr. Pecht and fellow BOD member Carol Hambleton were instrumental in the formation of the Livingston Distinguished Donors and Legacy Society giving clubs.
A family man and community leader, Tom recruited his son, Ben Pecht, MD to serve on Livingston’s Professional Advisory Board. If two Pechts are a good thing, than three are even better. Tom’s daughter-in-law and Ben’s wife, Banks Staples Pecht, also serves on the Livingston BOD.
In gratitude to Tom for his enduring devotion to the agency, he was chosen to be the honoree at the agency’s 70th Anniversary Celebration. To support Livingston’s mission or honor Tom Pecht, click here >
